Havenhust park in West Hollywood, California represents an inventive prototype for providing open space in a dense urban environment.
This 6,500 square foot public pocket park is constructed on top of a private parking garage. the design distills the diverse ecologies of Southern California into a rhythmic series of of distinct seating and gathering areas organised around bold oval loops. Here plantings, water features and public art come together to provide a sustainable oasis just a few hundred feet south of the Sunset Strip.
